There are no standard approaches to planning a ski vacation in Colorado. However, the first step is always to choose your final ski resort destination, which can be very difficult if you do not have personal knowledge of Colorado. There are many options; however, the best clearly stands out: Breckenridge should be the choice of alpine skiers who want the best whether on or off the mountain.

Breckenridge Is For Alpine Skiing: The claim is supported by facts. The four vast and continuous peaks that make up the impressive Breckenridge Ski Resort measures 2,350 acres of skiable terrain. It is certainly good news for the expert alpine skiers as well as skiers in all levels of expertise. While Peak 7 is an opportunity for the expert skier to show off, beginners have their own space in the resort. And, let us not forget the past since we all started as beginners. So, be generous by letting the beginners chose where they are most comfortable. After all, there is plenty of terrain for every skill level in Breckenridge. Within the four peaks of Breck, you can go to four half pipes or five terrain parks. Over the tree line is 150 acres of terrain for the expert skier. And, the Imperial Express Superchair will lift you up 12, 840 feet to 400 acres of skiing space that was previously accessible only by hiking.

There is always room for improvement: Each terrain is unique and even the experts can always learn something new. Breckenridge Ski School is there for all interested skiers, not just for beginners. Whether the student is already an expert wanting lessons on technical skills, or a beginner taking lessons with a group, the Ski and Ride School designs each lesson to be fun and insightful aside from being educational. On top of the standard lessons, there are dedicated lessons the whole winter for groups of seniors, women skiers and pipe devotees.

Time Off the Mountain: Even outside of the incomparable Breckenridge Ski Resort, the town itself has already built a favorable reputation that contributes to making Breckenridge Colorado’s premier vacation destination. Typically getting an average of 300 inches of snow annually, plus sunshine over 300 days yearly, thrillseekers are happy to relax in Breckenridge. With the range of entertainment Breckenridge offers its visitors the whole year, it can certainly claim to have the expertise when it comes to having a good time. The town’s calendar shows the monthly events and festivals you can enjoy during your visit such as the International Snow Sculpture Competition or the Mardi Gras style party. The Country Boy Mines or the Gold Pan Saloon are two of the relics of the historic past of Breckenridge that blend well with the symbols of the present on Main Street such as the bars, the restaurants and stores offering modern knickknacks, among other items.

Options for the Next Ski Vacation: Breckenridge takes a different way of handling lodging options. Breckenridge discount lodging options are just as widely offered as the high-end options. In fact, right off Main Street are large vacation homes as well as budget townhomes – in short, a lodging option for everyone.

With the wide range of recreational activities offered in Breckenridge, it is possible to get distracted from your original plan to test your alpine skiing skills in the premier slopes of Breckenridge Ski Resort. Do not miss out again. In planning your next ski vacation to Colorado, make sure that Breckenridge is on top of your “musts” list
