In order to break down food, your stomach must go to work. And in order to fight off invading organisms, your stomach must also go to work.

As a result, keeping your stomach healthy will help you extract more nutrition from what you eat, help you not get sick, and by extension, help you lose more weight.

Thus, here is how to get your stomach to help you lose as much weight as possible:

1. Avoid large late meals: When you eat a huge meal and then lie down, you are more likely to have acid come right back up your esophagus. So make sure the meals you eat later in the day are smaller. This will help you lose more weight and help you keep your digestive system healthier.

2. Increase volume and hormonal output: If you increase the volume of what you eat, your stomach’s mechanoreceptors will send a feel full signal to your brain. One way to accomplish this is with vegetables and roughage. You can also increase feel full hormones by including protein and fats in your meals.

3. Keep a log: By logging what you eat and how it makes you feel, you can identify the foods that don’t work well with your digestive system. Now the key here is actually log what’s going on. You see, relying on memory is a poor strategy here because there is simply too much information coming your way on a daily basis.

4. Floss, scrape and brush: While this is more of a preventative strategy, making sure your oral hygiene is top notch will prevent bacteria from causing excessive inflammation in your digestive tract. So make sure you floss between the cracks of your teeth, brush your tongue and brush your teeth.

5. Hydrate often: Staying hydrated is the simplest and most effective thing you can do to keep your digestive system going full steam ahead. So make sure you drink up and not just during meals. You also have to drink in between meals for maximum effect.

Having a healthy stomach is a great way to lose more fat and make the entire process much easier for you. So start taking action on this advice today, don’t delay!
